Today (20 April 2009) the altitude of smoke has reach 400 meters and the tremor quake continued, moreover it happen hundreds times, but a scale is low, the highest one is 5 on Richter scale. The status of this mountain is still attentive stage.

Mount Kerinci which has an altitude of 3.805 meter from above sea level, showing their activities starting the 13^th last April until Sunday, 19 April 2009. it’s activity is continues up to now. All the people should wear dust mask when they go out to protect against the dust eruption of the mountain.

Mount Kerinci is apart of Kerinci Seblat National Park. The crater basin from side-to-side is 600 x 100 squares with active lava area is 120 x 100 square whith green yellow colour.

The peak of the mountain is often covered up by thick fog, so it will be unclear for vision from outer. Temperature on the peak would be around 5-10 degree Celsius, some other times it can reach bellow 0 degree Celsius on summer.
